Spencer Greenberg, PhD - Founder

A serial entrepreneur and mathematician, Dr. Greenberg has a Ph.D. in applied math, with a specialty in machine learning, from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU. He is the founder of a quantitative investment firm and ClearerThinking.org. Dr. Greenberg's projects have been covered by the Wall Street Journal, CNBC, Business Week, io9, LifeHacker, FastCompany, Bloomberg Television, and many other media outlets.

Andrew Gorrill - Program Editor

Andrew Gorrill has a diverse background, ranging from Chinese language and culture to organic agriculture. He occupies a variety of roles at UpLift, including customer service and project management. 

Eddie Liu has degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience from Duke University. He is the creator of the MoodTools app for depression, which has over 800,000 users and won Mental Health America's "mPower" award.

Drew Mallory, PhD - Chief Scientist

Drew Mallory holds a PhD and Masters in Psychology from Purdue University, and a Master’s in Evidence-Based Social Interventions from Oxford University, where he focused on computer-delivered treatments for depression. He is currently a researcher at KU Leuven, Belgium's leading research university. He has held board/service positions with the Global Organisation for Humanitarian Work Psychology and the Society for Industrial and Organization Psychology (SIOP) committee for the United Nations, and continues active research and advocacy activities in the areas of well-being, diversity, and behavioral ethics.


Keith Dobson, PhD - Advisor

Dr. Keith Dobson is a world-renowned expert on CBT, having been president of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy and the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, and the author or editor of over 15 books on the subject. He is the recipient of numerous awards in the field, including the Donald O. Hebb Award for “Distinguished Contributions to Canadian Psychology as a Science” from the Canadian Psychological Association. He is currently a professor at the University of Calgary.
